How much should my axolotl be eating?

Posted: 25 Sep 2020 06:52 AM PDT

I've heard a lot of conflicting information, and I don't want to over feed him. He's about 5 months, 5 inches. I've heard that he should eat a couple times a day and I've also heard that around this size they shouldn't be fed as much. I'm not sure when would be a good age to space out feedings, but I figured someone here would know. Help?

Do earthworms need cutting up??

Posted: 25 Sep 2020 03:44 AM PDT

So my axi is 9 months old n I've been told earthworms (once clean) can just be put in the tank, whole and alive! Is this right? I can't bring myself to cut them up but it just wriggled about in the water and my axi didn't seem to know what to do so I panicked and took it back out lol! Was I just being a worrying first timer and given time he would have eaten it? Or would he not have managed with a full size worm? Please help 😊
