| Posted: 15 Sep 2020 09:30 PM PDT Since I've gotten my nerites they have always stayed just above the waterline and every time I've taken the lid off for more than a minute they escape and today I found both of them inside my filter??? They're fine I just can't get them out but wth? My mysteries are fine with my water parameters (all I have are the cheap strips so not very specific but all in the normal range) [link] [comments] | ||

| With regards to the recent spam.. Posted: 15 Sep 2020 10:50 AM PDT We've recently observed a round of new bots spamming the same link over and over again. We are discussing the best way to prevent this without affecting our normal posters (or new posters for that matter). Until then, I would like to kindly ask everyone to downvote and report as spam these submissions. Thank you. [link] [comments] | ||

| Is it possibly that my snaiby survived 10 days out of the aquarium Posted: 15 Sep 2020 07:23 PM PDT I just found a dime-ish size mystery snail approximately 9 feet from one of my aquariums. I put it on a cup of water and lo and behold it is alive! I removed all my mysteries from this aquarium about 10 days ago, or so I thought. Is it possible the snail survived 10 entire days like that? There are a couple alternative options... 1. I missed a snail 10 days ago and it only recently escaped from the aquarium, possibly with "help" from a cat 2. The snail actually escaped from my other aquarium some time in the last couple days and traveled 2 entire rooms over, possibly with "help" from a cat I will be monitoring this fella closely. If he pulls through I just might have to give him a name! [link] [comments] | ||

| Just got my first apple snail. My betta nips at him every once and a while... Posted: 15 Sep 2020 04:49 PM PDT He doesn't really flare. He just kinda nips if the snail comes out enough. It's not constant thankfully. Even though he nips at everthing trying to find food. Should I be worried? [link] [comments] | ||

| Selectively breeding wild type ramshorns to achieve blue coloration Posted: 15 Sep 2020 03:45 PM PDT I'm planning on purchasing blue ramshorns from a lfs, but in the event that they only have wild type ramshorns, would it be possible to selectively breed and cull them to end up with only blue ramshorns?
