Baby Mystery Snail! The weird thing is I've never seen the eggs. But I do catch the adults mate a couple times.

Risk drowning baby snails for proper water quality?

My snails are over a week old. I've been keeping them in a 5 gallon tank filled up about 4 inches. The only issue is that it is really hard to control the water parameters. I use an airline tubing to suction out any food debris, and I replace the water with freshly cycled water from my big tank. The snail tank doesn't really go a whole day without having an ammonia spike. The bubble filter that I was able to find was still too big and I can't find any filter that does okay with only a little bit of water. I would have to raise the water level nearly all the way to the top for my filter to work. Will the snails drown? How does everyone else handle this? I didn't have any food in the tank all night and there was ammonia when I checked it. Is this because it is old water or because there are dead snails? How can I tell if a baby snail is dead?

I have now caught my little buddy Bradley crawling up into the open part of the filter twice now and I'm scared he'll fall or get stuck! I know the obvious answer is 'cover any exits' but how have you done this in the past?

Last week got this snail with the 2 crowns on top one is bluish color. Last few days it is digging itself in the gravel Have no idea why or what kind it is. Any help is appreciated

Hey guys, my mystery snail laid a clutch about 2-3 weeks ago and I left them on the side of the tank. I haven't really noticed anything happen to them so I'm wondering if I just let them stay there or if I need to pull it off the tank.

I got him about a week ago. His buddy's doing a-ok, but he moved only a couple inches the first day, was seen eating briefly the third, and since then has still barely moved. I checked on him yesterday and he closed his trap door when I picked him up (he wasn't holding onto anything) but now it swings freely.

I don't wanna give up on him and set him on a little bit of lettuce earlier today after taking him out of the main tank, just so ammonia won't be an issue. No movement, trap door still open, but also not smelly.

Should I give him another 24 hours, or bury him tomorrow morning?

I bought a mystery snail about a week ago. The first day I got it it was really active in my tank. But now it hides all day and only comes out at night. Yesterday I kept my tank lights off all day to see if it would come out during the day, and it did, but it stayed in the back of the tank, in one place on the glass all day. But at night time, if I check the tank after the lights have been off (and the room is dark) for at least a half hour it's up and moving around. Why does it do this? TIA
