Caught an unidentified native Aussie shrimp! About 4cm and looks very similar to Paratya australiense, does anyone have any idea of what she could be?

I started with 10 redfire shrimps and the one day, I was looking in my tank and finally had dozens of those baby shrimpies. I'm a little bit proud tbh

I admire their family bond. These guys right here has helped me out so much, yet all they ask for in return is love, food and frequent water changes.

Advice for sad bamboo shrimp

Posted: 22 Aug 2020 10:41 PM PDT

Hey all, I am looking for some tips regarding my two bamboo shrimp. A little over a month ago, all was well in my 60gal. I had two bamboo shrimp and a thriving red cherry shrimp colony, and they've happily been there for about 6 months. The bamboo tended to hang out right next to the filter intake or on a high piece of driftwood, filtering. Well about a month ago I was feeling fancy and started using a variety of new foods for my fish. I also started dosing fluorish excel because I thought it would help the plants. Repashy community, frozen daphnia, frozen bloodworms. I was previously feeding omega one flakes and occasionally a Hikari algae wafer. About 3 weeks into the new feeding habit I realized that my cherry colony had crashed (only about 2 survivors,) and my bamboos are not filtering anymore, just scouring the bottom of the tank. One of them also molted, which I understand can be a sign of stress. After some research, I stopped all Fluorish Excel immediately (adding it was a bad idea, I didn't realize it at the time.) I suspected the food was the other issue, since the corys were looking hungry too. I restarted the omega flakes and algae wafers, supplementing with the other fancy foods. In an effort to really feed the bamboo shrimp, I have been feeding the frozen/thawed daphnia twice a day, but after a week I'm not really seeing any change. Shouldn't they be filtering by now? Any other ideas? I am going to start throwing in some daphnia after the lights turn off too as I've heard that helps target the bamboos. I'm frustrated because I had everything running well and then messed it up. (Live and learn, am I right?) If the flow was good for them previously, it should fine now too, right? One is always hiding and the other crawling, searching for food. TIA

Tank details: Nitrates, nitrites, ammonia all zero PH 7.6 Gh 12 Kh 7 60gal planted tank with lots of cover, driftwood, rocks Fluorite substrate HOB filter as well as a bubble bar on the opposite side of the tank Guppies, Beckford's pencilfish, mountain cloud minnows, orange fin danios, corydoras aeneus, assassin snails, cherry shrimp, bamboo shrimp No major changes to the tank recently other than the feeding. I did add a few plants and the danios, but that was after the issue arose.
