My Crayfish Hasn't Eaten in 5 days

Normally he won't eat for 1-2 days and then molt. He hasn't molted yet. Is this normal? Should I give him different food?

New Pet crayfish

Posted: 20 Aug 2020 11:33 PM PDT

Hi, so I have a crayfish pet which I keep in a fish tank. I'm too afraid to fill the tank up with water because we don't have an air pump. So I have water that reaches around near the top of the crayfish, I also have rocks where the crayfish can get out of the water to climb on.

Is this setup okay for the crayfish or will this harm him?

Tank mate?

I'm thinking of adding a royal farlowella cat to my tank as an active bottom feeder, my cray is always docile unless attacked or crowded heavily. Is this a good idea? Is it a bad idea? I've been researching and it seems like a great fit, but i wanted to get yalls opinions and insights.

Mysterious Crayfish?

Posted: 20 Aug 2020 10:32 AM PDT

I'll try to keep this short.

I have a 90g tank, with 6 goldfish, one bristlenose pleco, one common pleco, one mystery snail, a few phantom shrimp, four baby marmokrebs, and one snow white adult crayfish.

Today I did a water change, and for the second time in the last month, I have noticed the remains of a bright orange crayfish. At one point I did have a Mexican dwarf but he was in an entirely different tank, and is long gone.

Any theories as to where these mysterious orange doods keep coming from?

Thank you!
