Hydra has a cut on the tail! Most definitely from a decoration that has been in his tank since March. I'm assuming he will be ok but a second opinion would be nice!!! Thank you :)

I don't have an axie yet, but my tank is cycling! How's it look??

my axolotls backside is swelled up significantly and he is bloated with an air bubble inside of him, there looks to be some clear stuff poking out of his anus, does any one know what’s wrong with it?

New moss bamboo sticks, had to cut the nubs off some suction cups and hot glue them to the sticks then suction them to the bottom of the tank because they are super floaty I want more when I can find some decent ones

Will a big pH change cause shock?

Posted: 01 Aug 2020 09:34 AM PDT

Hey my axo loving buds!! Gotta question ...

My new 55 gallon tank is fully cycled. Finally reached 0 on ammonia nitrite and nitrates. Only thing is, the pH is at about a 7.9. The current water my axolotls are in has a pH of about 6.2 (I know, super low but that's my tap water for daily tub changes).

Will the drastic difference in pH shock them if I transfer them? I put some almond leaves in day before yesterday, might wait a couple days to see what happens. Maybe I should start performing water changes every other day w the lower pH water? Thanks for any tips !!

I added an air stone to Toothpaste’s tank and she really seems to like it! Now I just need a few more plants and mosses (and a girlfriend for her ️‍)
