So I'm having a hard time getting my tank cycled, I have added many different quick starts as well as getting seeded filter media and nothing has worked. The lady I got my Axolotl from said that it might have something to do with my water hardness since I'm very Likely to have soft water due to where I live. I was wondering what hardness levels you guys have in your tanks? if you raised or lowered it, what methods did you do to accomplish that?

Alternative to salt baths to treat external parasites

Hi there,

I took my axolotl to the vet today for a check up and apparently she has external parasites on her skin? The vet couldn't tell me what type but he recommended salt baths. I've been advised by a different knowledgeable source that salt baths are not really recommended. Can anyone tell me a save alternative to treat external parasites that isn't salt baths? Thank you.
