When you’re in the LPS and you see a gold nugget doing zoomies, the urge to not buy him is hard. My newest addition.

Bloody Mary. If disease free, you can’t touch Taiwan imports.

MICRO CRABS! A couple of days ago I asked for your guy’s advice as to what I should add into my shrimp tank. Im now the owner of 5 Thai micro crabs. My shrimps are very curious. Maybe a little too curious......

It’s been about 3 days since I put almond leaves into my tank and I noticed this. What is it? Is it harmful?

Water flow

Posted: 18 Jul 2020 11:56 PM PDT

How much water flow do y'all provide in your Neocaridina tanks? I'm struggling right now. I got myself some lovely blue dreams, and several have died. I have a fully cycled heavy planted 40g tank with a large moss covered piece of driftwood. Other than Ph sitting kinda high (7.8), everything else is perfect. I run CO2, but only about 5 bubbles per minute. I do have two maxi jet 600 powerheads (pulling water up from an under gravel bio filter) that move my water around the driftwood. Neither point towards the bottom of the tank or onto the driftwood, all of my water movement is in the center or surface of the water. Could to much water flow be killing off my shrimp? I kept cherry shrimp in the past with this set up, only thing different is the 2 powerheads instead of 2 hang on back pumps (I have cats and they were always messing with the pumps so I decided to have a closed system) I cycled my tank for 1.5 months before I introduced my shrimp. I can't wrap my head around this, and every time I find another dead shrimp my heart breaks a little.

Where do you get your shrimp?

Posted: 18 Jul 2020 06:15 PM PDT

I finally have my first shrimp tank set up and I'm looking to stock it with cherry shrimp. Which places ship healthy shrimp well? My local fish store and chain stores near me don't seem to have any. Any help would be appreciated!
