Is she ok? She was berried and I assume the eggs died or something, but now it looks like her swimmerets were cut or something... is she ok?

My crawfish has been stuck like this for three days. It’s almost as if he can’t move his front two claws. Please help. I have him set up in a 40 gallon tank and he stays in his den most of the time and I woke up and saw him like this. At first I thought he was molting but it’s been too long

Interested in owning a crayfish

Posted: 09 Jul 2020 09:50 PM PDT

Hello! I am completely new to the world of aquarium pets, but crayfish just fascinate me so much. I wanted to know if they would be too much for a first time aquatic animal owner?

And I was hoping to find good online information about owning one and care involved. There's a lot of info online, but I have a hard time telling if it's good/true or not

Also, is it really better to catch one from the wild? It feels against my instincts to keep a wild animal as a pet, but I want to do what's best too

Thank you :)
