Electric blue yabbie behavior change? Posted: 16 Jul 2020 10:48 PM PDT Hello, I have however. put a lot more real plants and fish (4 total) into the tank with her so perhaps she gets pissed off by them and wants them to fuck off... i started feeding her worms from my worm farm and she LOVED that at first. but now shes not as fussed on them and hardly touches the original pellets that i got from the pet shop when i initially got her. I have tried giving her skinned peas also but doesn't seem very bothered by them......not sure what to do. Has anyone else had their crays get less........affectionate / active overtime? is she just getting bored with life the same way humans do with age? hahahah The weird part is that my flatmate will go up to the tank and talk to her / scratch the tank and she tends to come out to say hi to him more so than with me...even though im the one that feeds her and changes the water etc. [link] [comments]

Posted: 16 Jul 2020 09:02 AM PDT Hi guys, My 6 month old Mexican Dwarf seems to have gone through a really bad molt. He looked like he was struggling and now he's mostly on his back and his legs are visibly messed up. Every time I check on him he's still very much alive, I get him upright as often as I can. He stills eats albeit with a little help getting the food to him. I was kinda hoping I can help him get to his next molt and hopefully correct it because if I go anywhere near him or get food in his vicinity he still goes crazy so he's still as active as he can be. I've increased the calcium in the water to help with the next time around, is there anything else I should do? He does have another Mexican dwarf in there with him but he's about half the size and doesn't seem to bother him he stays on the other side of the tank. Would a quarantine tank make sense? Maybe a smaller tank that's warmer or darker? Just curious if there's anything I can do to speed up the process or make it easier for him The Water parameters are Ammonia 0 Nitrite 0 Ph 7.0 Nitrate 10-20 ppm Temperature 76 degrees [link] [comments]

Posted: 16 Jul 2020 11:03 AM PDT I got a small (about an inch) blue Florida cray a couple weeks ago, and he didn't molt for a while though he ate, and he's now molted twice, once on the 11th and now today. He/she (I don't know the gender) did not molt before the 11th, at least not while I had it. So my question is, is this normal? And how often do they normally molt? (Ps he's about... maybe 3 and a half inches now? Not including antennae) [link] [comments] |
