So I need some help..

So I am interested in starting to ship mystery snails but I'm just not so sure on how to ship with 100% success rate ,I have watched a few videos that involve a wrapping them in a wet paper towel and putting them in a sandwich bag then putting that in the box and then taking them to the post office but I still need to know is there more to it any further protection (Note ~ I'm trying to do this as inexpensively as possible)

Endangered Margarya snail in culture yet?

Margarya is a genus of Viviparid freshewater snails endemic to mountain lakes in Yunnan province, China. I am worried that some of these spectacular snails will go extinct soon due to land reclamations, pollution and invasive species. Does anyone know of any living collections or are in the vicinity of its native habitat and are interested in building one?

Are ya winning son?

Is this a trumpet snail? Medium sized muster snail for sizing purposes. Any help as to what this is I’ll be appreciated. I think it came in with plants and hasn’t caused any issues so far.

Good snail for warmer freshwater (80 degrees +)

Posted: 06 Jul 2020 01:00 PM PDT

Is there a type of snail that will "do well" in a tank with a slightly elevated temperature?

I have a Betta in a "hospital tank" that I'm keeping between 80-82 degrees to help heal a case of fin rot. I'd like put a small snail in with him both for some stimulation as well as light housekeeping. I tried moving a small Tiger Nerite that I had into the tank, but the Nerite immediately pulled itself above the waterline (which suggests to me that the water is too warm for his/her liking).

Broken Shell?

Posted: 06 Jul 2020 02:25 PM PDT

I'll link the pictures because they're kind of graphic but will he survive this?

He already (?) seems to be repairing the shell. I've weighted down the lid and placed him in an open container within the tank to hopefully give him an easier time (got stuck on some plants and couldn't seem to pull himself up).

Is there anything I can do? Stinky

Nerites - if they're pooping, it means they're eating, right?

Posted: 06 Jul 2020 10:08 AM PDT

Hi there. I adopted some Nerites a couple weeks ago. I didn't have a good amount of algae in the shrimp tank where I put them, so I set up a separate temporary tank for them because my nitrite levels skyrocketed after I introduced them. A new tank for them is coming from Amazon.

I'm wondering: I noticed that they of course eat while moving across the glass of a tank. Presently, in their temporary tank, there isn't any algae on the tank's walls. I've been feeding them Tetra algae discs, and they've survived, but I'm wondering exactly how they eat them: I've never seen them stretch themselves to get "over" an algae disc so their radula/mouth can chew at it. Are they actually eating it?

Also, I placed some unwashed organic carrot pieces in their temporary tank, with biofilm developing almost overnight, and I'm wondering how they can eat that: they won't actually crawl atop the carrot, where the biofilm rests. How do they consume the algae discs, carrots, and/or biofilm?

That said, I do notice a lot of poop: surely that means they're eating something, right?

Thanks.
