Personally preferred filter?

Posted: 27 Jun 2020 07:29 AM PDT

Hi all, not asking for best filter as I have learnt from research it's very much opinion! But, I am in the process of setting up a tank and I am struggling to make a decision!

I was looking at hang on back filters as some said this offers the greatest flexibility and yields best results with 3 types of filtration. Only one I found of much cope through some online searches was the 'Fluval C series'. However, many many reviews saying it is somewhat noisy! The tank will be in my bedroom, while I don't mind some noisy as I have a smaller aquarium in here already that makes a slight noise, the videos I have seen of the C series are very loud!

If anyone could give my some advice I'd be very great-full 😊

Is my axolotl stressed?

Posted: 26 Jun 2020 08:15 PM PDT

I usually feed my lotls on earth worms and sometimes frozen bloodworms. Apart from pellets I was wondering what other foods any of you use. Possibly raw liver?

Is my axie ok?

Posted: 26 Jun 2020 09:35 PM PDT

So any 5 mins ago my 1 yr old axolotl fuckn jumped out of his aquarium onto my carpeted floor, it was about a 4ft drop and I was lucky I was in the room and saw him about to jump so he was only out for about 2-3 secs max. From what I can see, he looks alright but I was wondering if the fall could have done anything harmful.

Is it ok to remove. Has been a couple weeks since water change. Done this early before the the water change too. Mucus is on the glass wall as well? Heard they do this and its normal. But honestly I straight up hate the build up. He didn't do this before just recently a month ago?
