I was watching my axie earlier & noticed that it looks like he’s having a hard time staying down. His tail looks different then his brothers & there’s also this white stuff on one of his gills, and it’s kinda curling forward. Any suggestions I may be over stressing?

Hey yall, would you say these gills look weird?

What is the smallest tank you can keep an axie in?

Posted: 04 Jun 2020 09:19 AM PDT

I currently have my axie steve in a lovely 15 gallon tank in my parents house, but i will be moving into a dorm in the next couple of months. Obviously space is going to be tight and I don't have enough room to accommodate his current tank, I really don't want to have to give him away but if I won't be able to provide him with the right care i most likely will. What is the smallest tank you think an axolotl can be housed in? He would be in the tank for one year before I move again and then he would be in his old tank again.

Forgive the grammar

Ok so the funniest thing in the world just happened, and I wish with every aspect of my being that I had caught it on camera, but sadly I didn't so I'm just going to explain it the best I can.

I was feeding my girl a worm, when it wiggled out of the tweezers right before she grabbed it, however, the way she was facing, I was holding the tweezers in between her and a plant. A few seconds after the worm fell she bit onto one of the plants leaves, she has done this before but she usually recognizes that its only a plant and lets go, but this time she bit onto it for longer, I grab another leaf of the plant to pull it away from her, BUT NOPE. I try to pull the plant away with the tweezers, but she doesn't let go and just GETS PULLED THROUGH THE TANK, STILL ON THE PLANT! It was only AFTER she was pulled all the way to the other side of a 40 gallon tank, that she thought "worms don't do this" and let go. Then she just casually swam back to the other side where the worm originally was, waiting for me to help her find it.

I know I explained it poorly but, seeing her so dedicated to not let go of what she thought was a worm was definitely the best thing ever. She's completely fine by the way.

I need help! My axolotl has a fungal infection and I’m not sure how to treat it. I noticed this a a day ago. Don’t have water perimeters checked currently I can get them tomorrow but they normally sit around 64 degrees and 7 ph
