Nothing to do in quarantine? Time to upgrade from a 13 gal to a 45. I’ll look at my tank, have a beer, be happy, and look at my bank account and cry later.

Did a water change and didn't realize my DI resin in my RODI filter was not working properly. My TDS was around 40 PPM. I did a 30% water change on my red sea peninsula 500 and immediately the next day all my invertebrates died within 24 hours. My corals started to whiten up and close up. I lost a blenny and a yellow tang.

My blue tang, clowns and a few of my fire fish still live.

My blue tang looked like it got ick and then I started using Polylabs medic and feeding. I did another 30% water change and the fish look like they are doing better. The corals are still all closed. Does anyone know if the TDS in the water change the most likely culprate or could it be something else? Took my water to the LFS and they said alkalinity and ammonia and nitrates are all fine.

250g stocking question

Posted: 11 May 2020 05:06 PM PDT

Is it ok to keep a Clearfin lionfish with a Volitans lionfish together?
2 lions in 1 tank.
If not, i'll do with a clearfin just fine
I'm also planning to keep an eel.
Would a yellowhead or a Black-edge moray be compatible? and tank sizes are ok?
Only 1 eel.
For the last one I'm thinking or either a Niger Triggerfish because I heard the others are too aggressive and might bother the lion.
or...
an emperor angelfish
or...
either a ray or a shark (gray bamboo)
Would the shark be pushing the limits a bit?
I think that's all my ideas
i dunno

Question about fluval evo

Posted: 11 May 2020 07:02 PM PDT

I have had the tank a while and keep seeing that the filtration area level goes down quite fast. When I refilled it with ro water the main tank level goes up and the filtration area hardly goes up. Any tips of keeping both these areas the same level

Since my last post started a small war, I feel the need to post this video of my 10 gallon reef tank I had a few years ago. Don't forget to pull your jaw back up ;)

[ID] pest on my palys and zoas. These little pests seem to be really upsetting them. It has a hard shell, very small, shrimp like legs.

Damsel and engineer goby feeding?

Posted: 11 May 2020 04:48 PM PDT

Hey reefers. I recent moved my engineer goby and four line damsel to a new biocube 32. My engineer is derpy and can't find food in this tank. I've been target feeding him 5-6 mysis shrimp a day and he eats a few more out of the water column. He's about 2' long. (Yes ft, not a typo). Is that enough food? He's fat and healthy looking.

Also my four stripe damsel has started eating hair algea. He still eats flakes and shrimp but he's never done that before. Is that normal?
