Finally filled in the pathway today as well. She's pretty much done now. Might get some plants for the base of the bonsai, but haven't decided yet.

Here is my tank a few months in! I got rid of most of my algae and now just have some string algae left. My fish and shrimp like munching on thankfully.

Co2 paintball tank safety questions

Posted: 05 May 2020 11:01 PM PDT

  1. Is there anything special about paintball tanks vs regular tank that can make it more hazardous? (I am keeping it upright)

  2. There's no "on/off" knob for the tank, so "immediate pressure" once open is a thing, typically you would leave the controller wide open without bubble counter, then trim controller knob once rushing of gas starts?

  3. Since paintball requires an adapter, the adapter has a pressure relief (a hole on the adapter) ? Is it normal for the pressure relief to spontaneously start releasing? It's been running for a bit then all of a sudden it started and wouldn't stop for awhile now. even with me trying to open the controller wider, it wouldn't stop. The gas is freezing the adapter so I can't turn it to take it off. Concerned for excessive co2 indoor I moved the whole thing outdoor.

The filler service told me he wanted to freeze the tank and took longer to fill... did he simply give me too much pressure? Everything is working as expected that's why the relief is outgassing? How much is too much relief to affect indoor air quality?

Really don't want win a Darwin's award here. I've been using normal co2 for a while just fine.. this is my first time setting up a paintball tank tho. what am I missing here?

Newbie question. Any success in setting up an ecosystem with frogs or turtles? Anyone out there with setups they want to share?

Didn't wash my Flourite. Major regrets. Also, the camera doesn't capture the light intensity, so I apologize for the dark turnout.
