| New to Nano Tanks Need Advice :) Posted: 09 May 2020 08:47 PM PDT Hello all, I have a interest in getting a nano tank. I am not sure what I need or what needs to be on my "shopping list" in order to start one off. I also have no clue how to get one started because I know it is not as simple as throw everything in a tank and that's it. Here are my wants -tank size of around 24"x10" -green (obviously :)) -those small lilypad like floating plants for the top -little "shrimp" looking guys (I want whatever is swimming in there to be very small) To be exact, I was hoping for a shopping list/what I need and some directions and tips on how to get it started :) Thank you very much for your help :)! | No air bubbler or filter in nano tank? Posted: 09 May 2020 05:54 PM PDT So I saw a youtuber with a shrimp nanotank and it was adorable, however I was curious as to why he didn't put in a filter or air bubbler. There were lots of plants, so is it possible to not need to add extra oxygen if you have many plants? And how does the water stay so clean without filters in nanotanks so that the shrimp can survive? | 3.7 gallon tank - what kind of tank mates would go well together? Posted: 09 May 2020 01:50 PM PDT I have a 3.7 that I want to transform into a planted nano tank. I had my male betta in it but wanted to upgrade him to a 5 or 10 gallon, haven't decided yet. I have 2 Scarlett badis and a sparkling gourami in a community tank, would all 3 be a good mix for the 3.7? I might even decide to re-home some of my other fish do I don't even need any more tanks. So ideally I do not want to add any more animals to my tanks. Any positive advice would be greatly appreciated! [link] [comments] |
