Goldfish - Aquariums - I finally got my oranda pond. Still landscaping, but it’s starting to come together. I can’t wait for my pond lilies to arrive.

Sent my beautiful comets to live the rest of their life in a nice pond where they can swim the way they should. Bitter sweet but I know they are happier

Do goldfish overeat?

Posted: 07 May 2020 10:01 PM PDT

I wanna throw some spinach in the tank, but I'm afraid he'll keep eating and explode. If he's three inches long, how much spinach should I feed my fish at a time?

My goldfish has an infection

Posted: 07 May 2020 03:49 PM PDT

Checked the lumps on my goldfish today ,dont seem like parasites, assuming theyre filled with puss and most likely an infection. Should i quarantine him and use medicine, or just use medicine - his usual tank is 100L and has seven other fish in it.

Anyone know any good treatments to use?

Canister or Sump?

Posted: 07 May 2020 01:03 PM PDT

So I've had my goldfish approximately 4years. I've only used HOB filters and sponge filters. Currently I have my 3 fancy goldfish in a 40g breeder with a sponge filter and two AquaClear 70's. Cleaning & water changing once to twice a week depending on messiness. Now I'm looking to upgrade their tank because they keep getting bigger and I want to give them more room. Looking at getting a 75g + (or bigger)for their next tank and I've been wanting to change up the filtration. Initially I was dead set on getting a canister filter probably an Eheim 2217 but Im also wondering if a Sump might be better? As a newbie to both Sump and Canister filters which is better -i.e. cleaning wise and also for keeping the water clearer?

Sorry for the book. Any/All advise & reccomendation is welcome.

This is not urgent. It might be normal.

Hi all, I have a goldfish that once had a parasite, so i gave him some medicine and he is all better. After that, I realized that the same fish's anal fins were frayed, and i was worried that it was bad. Months went by, And he hasn't healed, Or gotten any worse. And also he has problems turning and rolling, Since those were like stabilizers. I'm wondering if he can live if his anal fins are frayed.

Thanks!

The fish with the frayed fins is this white ryukin. He also lost his pigment a year ago but is getting back his color from the other fish.

What would you recommend I get before getting my fish? I already have a filter, it’s maybe 50L
