- One of my breeder rams horn snails.
- Whatcha doing there little guy?
- Introducing Darwin. I can not believe the first picture we took he decided to wave.
- Caught my Ivory female and magenta male breeding eggs soon I hope?
- I know it’s not the best picture but I am thrilled that my first clutch of mystery snails hatched last night
- Hey this snail is about 2 years old and 2 days ago he started not moving a lot and he looks a bit weird (bottom side of the other nerite snails looks black and not white and his eyes look a bit weird too) should I be worried or is he just getting old? (other 12 rabbit and 2 nerite look fine)
- Help! How do I get blood worms out of my mystery snail!
- These little guys just showed up in my tank. Looks like baby nerite snails?
- Nirate snails gone missing...
- Consensus on buying snails with damaged shells?
- Snails and hard water

| Help! How do I get blood worms out of my mystery snail! Posted: 20 May 2020 11:56 PM PDT So I've been noticing lots of little tentacle things in 2 of my snails I've been trying for days to get them out. They're in the little hole in the snail shell opposite of the swirl. I got desperate and decided to use my old water flossed (I know bad idea). My snails weren't hurt but they were very stressed. But it kinda worked I got a sink full of blood worms and my snails went back in the tank clean... or so I though as I was looking again I see about 3 or 4 still there. How do I get them out with our stressing the snail [link] [comments] | ||

| Posted: 20 May 2020 11:58 AM PDT Ok so approximate 1 months ago I introduced 12 fish and 5 black racer nerite snails to my cycled 29 gallon. After 2 days noticed one of my fish had ich. I removed snails to small betta tank and began treating with salt and rapid cure medication. After 10 days all was clear. I did 50% water change, and added fresh carbon. I ran tank for another week, did another water change and slowly introduced snails, 1 per day. Now two weeks later, noticed I haven't seen them in some time...hiding? Dead? Escaped? It's a planted tank, I don't want to start removing rocks and plants to find them, but unsure why next move is. I don't want them just decaying inside the tank if the meds got them.. | Consensus on buying snails with damaged shells? Posted: 20 May 2020 02:06 PM PDT I went to the aquatics store the other day to pick up some things and check out what stock they had and they had rabbit snails! I was super excited because finding them for sale is hard. I immediately noticed that it looked like the tips of most of their shells were dissolving - white with holes - and some had issues further down the shell too. I think their water is maybe too soft and too acidic? What do people think about buying them? Try them in my hard water higher pH tanks or steer clear and try to find a better source? | Posted: 20 May 2020 08:55 AM PDT So a couple weeks ago I picked up 5 nerite buddies for my tank. My Gh is 14° but I went ahead and added crushed eggshells a couple days ago. Was this necessary? Also if anyone has any tips to get them to eat other food besides algae and the best way to do it without my goldfish gobbling up everything. I brought algae wafers but I watched one of my pigs eat it. All advice helpful and thanks [link] [comments] |
