Here is the place to post questions about pest ID, coral/fish ID, your cycle, or any other questions that generally wouldn't start up a conversation. If you have an interesting or unique question please create a new thread so everyone can discuss it in length!

These are some great resources for ID's of pests/algae.

Anyone know how to bypass the login on the seneye pc software

Posted: 25 Apr 2020 12:01 AM PDT

I got a secondhand seneye for the par meter at a cheap price and I'm trying to use it but I can't until Monday when the support email opens and they confirm with the previous owner that it wasn't stolen.

Tips and tricks with the JBJ Nano ATO?

Posted: 24 Apr 2020 07:19 PM PDT

The ATO came with no instruction manual or anything and there's not a whole lot of information on what's normal ATO activity and what's not. What I've gathered is there are three points in the sensor: high level (solid green light), low level(blinking green light), and not enough (no light). When I first installed it in the tank, the water would be added in small increments when it hit the low level sensing point. And it would add enough water to keep it just above the low level sensor. I turned it off to do a water change and it filled all the way up to the high level sensor when I turned it back on. Now, it lets water evaporate until it reaches the low level sensor (which is too much and why I got the dang thing in the first place) and then dumps a crap ton of freshwater into the system. Are there any tricks to mastering this thing without the $85 controller?
