Waterbox Cube 20

Placement markers. I’ve worked out my scape for my new tank but want to be able to recreate it after curing. So I superglued buttons and took pics so I can recreate in the correct orientation in tank. Buttons will pop off!

Waterbox 20 flow

Posted: 05 Apr 2020 07:46 PM PDT

Hello, this is my first time setting up a reef tank it is a waterbox 20 cube. really trying to take my time and learn as much as i can before i start it up. I eventually want to put in a pair of clown fish and some hardy corals in as well and im looking into wavemakers. Should i chunk out the extra cash for something like a mp10 or a nero 5 or would a koralia nano be fine? If so would 1 be fine or 2.

Fluval 13.5 getting back into the hobby build

Posted: 05 Apr 2020 04:04 PM PDT

Decided to finally get back into the reef hobby, I had my first tank about 11 years ago when I turned 10 with a snowflake moray and by 14 had my 60 gallon SPS cube. Due to school and moving around a lot I haven't had time or the resources to have a tank but now, especially with all that's going on, I have the time to get back into it. I am running the tank as it out of the box with the addition of a protein skimmer. Ideally I would have liked to do a clownfish and rose bubble tip tank with a Kessil, but until I have plans to upgrade to a larger tank I will stay away from the clowns. I do not have a stock list in mind atm but plan on doing Zoas, and am curious to see if anyone has the stock lights and thinks I could house acans and frogspawn, keeping them far enough from each other to not have any fighting. I am on day 14 of my cycle, after adding some Bio-Spira and a piece of shrimp to help accelerate my process. I plan on adding some seeded live rock as I started with real reef dry rock. Any tips on stocking would be greatly appreciated, I am not as worried with the bio load due to the skimmer, frequent water changes, and the fact that I am running a LPS tank for the time being, I just want to make sure that the fish I choose thrive rather than survive. reef photos

Anything specific I should do before adding my clean up crew and first fish? Couldn't be happier at this cycle ending!
