I've been working on a nice emergent patch of mini pellia

I named it the Omega tank... (The reflection in the glass looks like the symbol for omega... Happy accident)

125 I did major maintenance on for a friend today. Couldn’t even see in the tank before I started it was so covered with plants.

I'm keeping Endlers in a nano pond style tank; not sure how to balance their diet b/c they are way more interested in algae/plant matter from the floaters' roots.

Posted: 20 Apr 2020 12:52 AM PDT

Title pretty much says it all.

- 7 Endlers (one female!) in a 5 gal nano.

- Entire surface is covered in a variety of small floaters with extremely fine roots, the fish much on these all day. There is of course the classic circular airline filter barrier with open water.

- Is this diet balanced? Would the aufwuchs on the plants/algae cover their protein needs?

- How do I judge the amount of fish food to put in? I can't really see it on the bottom of the tank to gauge how much was eaten due to the variety of stone sizes in the tank creating many crevices (which are full of baby snails eating the food anyway lol)

Thanks!
