Just found this sub and this hoss of a jar. My sister and I are now obsessed and would love to build a Jarrarium of our own. Any tips for some newbies getting started? All advice is much appreciated!

Need help with my first Jarrarium!

I have a large mason car and need some advice about starting out! I was thinking of a moss garden because where I live has a lot of different species of moss close by my house. Is there anything I should use as the dirt or would organic soil be alright? Also could other plants live in it or only moss? Sorry for being a noob

Help! Are these hydra?

I've had these thin white bristles on this particular elodea ever since I got it. More recently these have propagated to a nearby Java Fern. Are these hydra? They don't seem to be seen on the glass.

First Terrarium!

After watching that lovely video about a pond in a jar yesterday, I thought I’d have a go myself. Just popped down to my local pond/stream and gathered some bits. Have I got too much plant though?

Saltwater Jarrarium

Posted: 12 Apr 2020 12:23 PM PDT

Questions about a saltwater jarrarium. Would I need high tech equipment or would a light work? Would I need to supply salt, water, etc. or could I close it permanently? I will post an update if I do make one.
