Is this permanent damage?

So my first largest tank, is this normal for decorations? Also any advice/links for doing partial water changes? Googled it but still confused.

Goldfish trouble

Posted: 27 Apr 2020 08:58 PM PDT

My Chocolate Oranda just outgrew his 10 gal and I upgraded to a 20 gal yesterday. However he seems stressed and has been constipated since I made the transition. Any suggestions?

Found out my tank was leaking.

Posted: 27 Apr 2020 07:17 PM PDT

I had one single tailed comet in a 10 gallon tank and last night, I saw that my tank was leaking, probably because of my cat continuously jumping on it. So I dumped the tank out, got my fish and my live plant and put both of them in a large vase. The whole coronavirus situation makes it harder to go into a pet store so I ended up finding a stand alone tank from Walmart and I ordered it along with a new filter since my old one wasn't powerful enough. If I keep the fish in the vase overnight. Is it going to suffocate? I've literally never had this happen to me before.

Goldfish Ill + Dying, Please Help!

Posted: 27 Apr 2020 06:47 PM PDT

I recently purchased two fancy goldfish and set them up in a 40 gallon QT tank. I've had them for two weeks today. I've been using a filter from my other already established tank, and was doing 50% water changes every 2-3 days. I was stupid and didn't test the water quality, because I was using a 40 gallon rated sponge filter (that has been in an established tank for 2 years) and doing frequent water changes. I was dosing the tank with prime as well after every water change. I've been feeding them repashy solid gold gel food twice a day.

Since I had them, one of them has been very lethargic. Bottom sitting a lot, not super interested in food. I've seen this behaviour in new fish before, but it's always been stress related so I didn't think much of it. The other one seemed to be more active, but I noticed it swimming around a bit erratically. I was monitoring for any signs of illness, but there were no physical symptoms.

This morning, the lethargic fish pooped a small string of white poop, which I think(?) is a sign of internal parasites. I called my vet right away and I have an over-the-phone appointment for Thursday, which is the earliest I could speak with him. I then did a 100% water change just to be safe.

This afternoon, my other goldfish (the active one) passed away very suddenly. I checked both fish this morning for any spots or visible signs of illness, but found none. There were also eggs all over the tank (which hadn't happened before). When I removed my goldfish, Edgar, from the tank, I noticed a couple small red spots that I hadn't seen before (he's black, so they were hard to spot).

My other fish is still lethargic and uninterested in food. I've ordered some API general cure, but I don't know if that will be helpful.

What should I do? What's made them sick? I tested my water quality this afternoon after Edgar passed and all my parameters were at 0ppm, including nitrate. When I spoke with the woman I purchased them from she said that they "could have parasites" but offered no other explanation. I'm very worried, and I get very emotional about my pets. I don't know what the best course of action is and I feel so terrible. What should I do?

Depressed fish- advice appreciated (details in comments)

Does my fish have ich? It doesn’t look that raised and it’s limited to the gills on either side. I don’t know if I just haven’t noticed it before or if it’s new. I’ll do daily water changes this week and get rid of one of my plants that’s getting old. I’ll put parameters in comments.

My koi can’t close it’s mouth

Posted: 27 Apr 2020 01:54 PM PDT

My koi is in a pond. It doesn't have anything in its throat. I have separated it from the other fish and put it in a tub. My koi is about 6inches if I were to guess. I can close its mouth for it, but when I let go it opens again. I've ran out of ideas. Help!!!

Household safe fish decor items?

Posted: 27 Apr 2020 03:48 AM PDT

I had to do an emergency move and couldn't bring any of my fish decor with me. Due to the quarantine I don't have the financial means to go and re-buy fish decor.

Are there any home safe items I could possibly use? Containers, could I possibly use dollhouse miniatures etc.

Thanks! :)
