Is my fish going blind? He’s changed colour, but so is his cornea? (Not ich, it’s mixed up sand from a water change)

I've been looking into getting sinking pellets for my goldfish since I read that it's better for them, and I was wondering what were best?

the one I intend to buy is Omega small sinking pellets. is this a good brand or should I buy something else?

Goldfish tail ripped: there was always a hole in her tail but just today i noticed it was completely split in half. I doubt the other goldfish harmed her, but maybe her tail caught on a plant or the sponge filter. What to do??

My goldfish is sick- Help

Posted: 23 Apr 2020 04:26 PM PDT

I bought two Oranda goldfish somewhere around 2-3 months ago and they have both been extremely playful happy and healthy, they eat, they swim, they just haven't had any troubles. One of them, Opiy, is now laying at the bottom of the tank, breathing heavily, not really moving at all and when he does he seems very disoriented and bumps into things and cant swim very high or maybe he just isn't well enough to; not even when I come to the top of the tank and they both always come swimming up to the top thinking I am going to feed them. Opiy's coloring still seems bright and has remained the same as always, his fins look full and healthy, he doesn't seem to be injured externally in any way, and he is not bloated. Once I noticed his concerning behavior I immediately checked my water and everything seemed perfect besides the water being slightly hard but not too much at all and the temperature of the water is fine as well. After I did a 50% water change and added some aquarium salt and beneficial bacteria and I retested the water and everything came out the same. I have a 40 gallon tank as well. Please help I don't know whats wrong and I really love him.

Problems with my Goldfish??

Posted: 23 Apr 2020 08:17 AM PDT

I just joined this group so I'm not sure if this is the right place for it or not. But me and my wife just woke up and noticed that our two goldfish have a little white lump on both of their heads. We don't think they were there before but we're not sure. I've been looking stuff up but can't seem to find anything helpful so I figured I'm come to Reddit for help. I'll post pictures below of the fish(luckily they basically posed for the pictures)😂😂

Swim bladder problem, help!

Posted: 23 Apr 2020 09:22 AM PDT

Hi everyone,

I've had my goldfish for 2-3years now and it's not the first time that she has had a problem with her swim bladder. She's swimming upside down, doesn't do much and if she sees me she'll swim normal for 5sec but then slowly turn around again.

Whenever this happened I put her in a salt bath and normally she'd be fine the next day. But this time it's been a few days.

I've tried the salt bath but it didn't help this time. I saw a lot of people saying that I should feed her peas, she doesn't eat them.

I don't know why this keeps happening, she has a filter and I give her food that swims to the bottom. Can someone please help me?

Now she just lays on her side, swims up a bit then lets herself sink, on her side. I googled it and it says it’s probably swim bladder disease. No pet stores are open and I don’t know what to do!
