| Posted: 09 Apr 2020 11:41 AM PDT Hi Everyone! I hope you all have been able to stay healthy and safe in these strange times. I am a newbie to owning a pond and Koi. I love it! We bought the house last year and over the winter it appears that Algae growth really took ahold of the pond. You can see in the photos that all of the rocks and plants and pretty much everything in the pond has Algae growing on it. The previous owner left some algaefix which I have been using but doesn't seem to be working at all (Since I am new I also am unconfident that I should even be using something like that in the pond). Anyways, I love looking at everyone else's ponds and Koi and notice that many of you have pristine ponds where you can see all the rock etc. Can anyone offer advice on what I can do to fix this? BTW the water seems fairly clear. I have a filter with ultraviolet light that the water is pumped through, but that doesn't seem to stop the Algae from growing on everything in the pond.
