Would you think I love my shrimp?

Looked online and couldn’t see anything about shrimp not having strawberry so popped a slice in. All the shrimp went insane over a slice . They then spent the afternoon flying around the tank on a sugar high....

Best vegetables/fruits to feed shrimps?

Posted: 25 Mar 2020 10:31 PM PDT

Hi, first time to post here. I tried searching for best vegetable or fruits to feed shrimps but i haven't found any threads for this. Or maybe i didn't search well enough...

But would just like to know what you guys think are some of the best fruits/vegetables to feed in a planted tanks with fishes and shrimps? I currently have a 60gallon tank with about 60+ combination of red reily shrimps, amano shrimps, and red cherry shrimps, and a few fishes (cardinal tetras, 2 corydoras, and around 4 otocinclus).

Any opinion will be appreciated! Thank you!

Edit: Just to add, needing info for this since i'm not able to buy the usual shrimp food I give them due to the COVID thing, so I'm looking for alternatives. I usually feed the fishes sinking pellets and the shrimps a strip of something every night. I forgot what its called but they seem to like it; helped them reproduce to how much they are now.

First cull I’ve ever done (don’t worry they are going on my big tank). It’s so sad to pick which stay and which go but this is just a fraction of my shrimp right now.

First time with a shrimp tank! Just added the shrimp in today. Reallyyy hoping they survive. The tank cycled for two weeks. The filter cartridge is from my 10 gallon so it’s filled with beneficial bacteria. Put in my favorite plants and crossing my fingers for success.

I was originally planning to only add cherry shrimp to my tank, but someone said amanos will devour my green hair algae. Any downside of getting both?

I really want cherry shrimp. I have a 10 gallon dirted tank that is perfect except for a coating of green hair algae and dead alage detritus on everything.

How much would 5 amanos add to the bioload? Still almost nothing like cherries, or more? Unfortunately everything is shut down due to Coronavirus so I have to order online, and minimum quantity seems to be 5. I hear they are bullies, but is it really an issue if you take care while feeding?

Trying to think of any downsides to adding the amanos ASAP to work on my algae problem.
