Posted: 13 Mar 2020 12:09 AM PDT Added some new (yellow) juvies to the tank today and Mr. King-of-the-tank kept charging them. He is now in time out. The one other adult shrimp (yellow) plays nicely or even jumps out of the way of the juvies. Have any of you experienced aggression like this in your own tanks? The aggro shrimp is a big blue male. All of these are supposedly neocaridina, but the blue one is a bit stripey, slightly longer and not as compact as the other yellow adult. Could it be an aggressive hybrid? Yikes. Making a shrimp safe fish tank Posted: 12 Mar 2020 11:10 PM PDT I have recently removed my fish from my shrimp tank so I can have baby shrimp. However I was thinking about having an area of my tank where only the shrimp could go. Not quite sure how I would do this, was wondering if anyone has attempted this before, and how it could be built, or whether or not it is viable. If I did manage to cordon off an area where the shrimp could go but fish could not, would the shrimp know to have their babies there? [link] [comments]

Posted: 12 Mar 2020 11:42 PM PDT I have a community tank of neocardina shrimps and i would like to know how do you tell the difference between Neocardina and Cardina shrimps? I heard cardina shrimp breeding produces more interesting shrimp colour combinations! [link] [comments]
Posted: 12 Mar 2020 11:38 PM PDT So I'm totally new to the hobby and was making plans to set up my first nano shrimp tank, but I ended up with a nippy swordtail that's was bugging the other fish in another aquarium. Will he end up picking at my shrimp? Are they okay tank mates? [link] [comments] |
