I got a Blackmoor today! He's not perfect but he's cute. What should I name him?

What type is he? Thought i got 3 Ryukin , but this one is more streamlined and has just got one tail with 3 prongs (or whatever they’re called) what type is he?

"You waited weeks to add your first goldfish?"

> Yes, I needed to cycle the tank.

"Oh c'mon, I have had tons of goldfish and never had to do that."

> You had tons.

Very mild popeye treatment

Posted: 09 Mar 2020 08:12 PM PDT

So my doofus of an oranda managed to injure herself in a tank with 0 hard scape and now has mild popeye in her right eye. I added salt up to .15 and then two days later upped it to .3 it's been three days and it may have improved VERY slightly but I'm unsure if I want to just keep an eye on her and maintain the salt dosage or if I want to medicate.

Tank specs 36g two fancies 2 fluval 40s No decor other then silk plants Params 0,0,<15ppm

I'm unsure how long I want to wait for her eye to return to normal before medicating. I've got kanaplex metroplex and paraguard on hand.

Bubble eyes?

Posted: 09 Mar 2020 07:00 PM PDT

Has anyone here got any bubble eyes? I'm looking to get some for my next tank (a few months before I even start setting it up lol) but wanted to hear stories about people keeping them. Tia

I think I may have a baby koi??

Posted: 09 Mar 2020 12:45 PM PDT

I was looking at my fish when I noticed one of the small orange goldfish has little barbels. It is only about 2 inches long so still pretty small but everything says if it has any barbels it means it's a koi. Anyone else's goldfish have barbels?
