This sub taught me a lot about betta. I'm cycling him a beautifuly planted 10 gal. At the moment its a 3 gal but he is still happy and jumpy. And taking more and more color everyday. He is living with 3 shrimps and 1 neretina. His name his Gordon.

S.I.P. to my guy Merlin, my first ever betta. He was black as night in his little cup and he turned into such a handsome angry boy. He passed away over 2 years ago now but I still think of him often. Just wanted him to get some of the attention he's always deserved from fellow angry fish lovers.

Goodbye you little beauty

I have had Frozone for 3 and a half years now. I imagine that makes him around the 4 year mark.

Frozone

With all the covid stuff going on at work we are very busy (I work in healthcare) and I have appreciated coming home to him.

For the last week or so he hasn't been his usual self, and I felt his time was near, given that lifespan in captivity is 3-5 years.

I can home from a 12 hour shift today to find him swimming in the big ocean in the sky.

We've been through a lot. He was my first Betta. We learnt a lot together and he helped me through some tough times. I will miss him. I never thought a Betta fish could have so much personality.

I'd like to thank this sub for the advice and guidance I've been given along the way!
