- Hi! First time axolotl owner here. I'm a little worried about this mark on the tail. Looks kind of like a crescent moon. I've just noticed it today and in some lights it looks like a circle. I can't find anything when looking it up so I was hoping someone here might be able to help a fellow out .

Posted: 14 Mar 2020 07:07 AM PDT Hey guys, need some advice my baby Mew is around 6" long and i really want to get her a new friend. What size should be safe to add to the tank for it to be a friend rather than a snack? [link] [comments]

Posted: 14 Mar 2020 12:02 AM PDT I've got a sweet axolotl whose about 7 to 8 months old now. Considering getting another one to keep him company. What are the recommendations in regards to housing these little guys? What's the appropriate age one can be housed with another? I've heard they're kinda cannibalistic when they're babies. I've got a traditional 10 gallon tank. It's recommended I get a bigger one for two, right? Any other things I should be aware of? I'd much prefer asking a community of axolotl enthusiasts! Thanks! Posted: 13 Mar 2020 06:06 PM PDT I am wondering what axolotls enjoy. I know they enjoy hiding places but do they enjoy things like bubbles, large driftwood, plants? If they dont, what else do these adorable creatures enjoy? [link] [comments]
Should I worry about my axolotl tank being 66 Fahrenheit? Posted: 13 Mar 2020 07:38 PM PDT So I am worried that 66 degrees Fahrenheit is to hot for my axolotl. Am I just being paranoid? If I need to cool my tank down can I get a chiller for $50? If I cannot get a chiller or dont need one, what are other methods for cooling down my tank? Thank you [link] [comments] |
