Can I put a Bushymouth Catfish in with my Axolotl?

Posted: 15 Mar 2020 06:26 AM PDT

My axolotl is a baby and by itself and I want it to have a friend in it's tank, and I have algae problems so I think it would be a good idea.

Grub pie

My axie is ~2.5 inches now and thinking of starting them on worms (cut up to distance between their eyes) but was also considering grub pie. Does anyone know what age or size this is suitable from?

What about the axolotls?

With the COVID-19 outbreak, many countries are shutting down and some will probably enforce mandatory lockdowns— what are we axolotl owners to do because many of us feed live foods? Are some of you switching to pellets and frozen foods until this ends?

Any breeders concerned right now?

Posted: 15 Mar 2020 07:50 AM PDT

Just the other day a friend of mine made me a bit worried. I have about 200+ babies right now that will be ready to go in about a month or two. But what if we're all in complete shutdown? What if mail carriers are down? How will us breeders sell, get food for them, etc? I'm already starting multiple daphnia and blackworm cultures just in case, but I'm still worried. I don't want to have 200+ mouths to feed and then run out of food and have no way of getting more. I'm scared for them. Anyone else have these fears? Or am I just too crazy?
