An update on my damaged mystery! Her name is now coral and the pits have been healing slowly. It doesn’t affect her at all though! She’s twice as fast as my two adult males

What’s happening to my snail??

Posted: 09 Mar 2020 03:11 PM PDT

Help? I'm not sure what's going on in my tank. It's been cycled and everything for a while. Our snail has been acting weird by floating and staying stuck to the tank side in one spot for days on end. We feed it tetra plecowafers, it really likes those. It's shell was fine last week, it looks like this now and I'm not sure when it started. It looks like grooves are cut out of it. here's a picture of neuth's shell.

Help?!

Posted: 09 Mar 2020 02:57 PM PDT

Sorry it's kinda long.

All right y'all. I've got a predicament. My tank has been up and running for a good year and a half now. Fully cycled, fully healthy. Planted. It's got a sponge filter, and a hang on back filter. I recently took the hang on back filter off, resulting in a cycle crash. It's back, up and running again. Completely cycled again. So this tank is an all Snail tank with some corries and shrimp. After the crash, I may be lost two snails. Keep in mind there's probably about 12 Mystery Snails. It's also got rabbits snails, rams horn's snails, trumpets, and so on. I've had pygmy Coreys in with them for about a year, no problems whatsoever. I also recently, as in the past couple weeks, added a male bristle nose pleco. Common. He won't get any bigger than he is right now. Although I have noticed about 10 mystery snails have died Since I've added him in. I don't know if he's the one doing it, or if there's some thing that I haven't tested for in the water, or if it's the substrate, but I have never had this big of a die off. It's really heartbreaking, because some of them were my own babies. I've got a couple strong ones left, it doesn't seem to be affecting the rabbit snails. Will Pecos do this? Can they kill snails? I've never had a problem with it before, until I put this new guy in. please help?

How many snails, shrimp and possible fish recommend for 2.5G tank?

Posted: 09 Mar 2020 10:23 AM PDT

So in a 1st year college kid who lives in rez (town house) and I cant get a larger tank till this summer at least. But since I got my snails I feel addicted and I want more. Thinking about getting some ghost shrimp and eventually some type of fish (when I can upgrade). Just wondering if any of you would know how many mystery snails and possibly shrimp could live alright in a 2.5G tank? I know it's small and I wish I knew how addicting this would be before I started or I would have gotten a larger tank (also I have limited room). But any suggestions would be great!!! I posted before but thought I had a smaller tank than I do!
