| Best snail for betta fish? One that won’t take over my tank. Posted: 07 Mar 2020 01:55 PM PST I'm not sure how true this is but I've always heard that aquatic snails will take over the tank, even if you get just one. (I guess they're asexual?) is this true for all snail types? If not, what kids should I look into for a betta tank? I haven't purchased a tank yet but don't worry. I'm doing good research so I'll be a good fish owner. I'm looking at 10-15 gallons. Live plants. I will cycle the tank and test weekly, along with appropriate water changes for the tank size/bioload. | Posted: 07 Mar 2020 07:05 AM PST Ok so I'm moving and I need to take my snails with me of course! They are mystery snails, and so I put them in a Tupperware container with holes poked on top so they can breathe and the Tupperware has damp paper towel in it. I've heard this is the way to do it, they got put in there yesterday, and they won't be able to be put back In their tank untill tomorrow afternoon (were driving I'm moving across states) and I'm just worried about them! Will they be alright?? They are both just curled up in their shells with their trapdoors closed. I'm worried it's too cold for them bc the moist paper towel will obviously become cold after a while. I really don't want my snails to get hurt or anything. Is there anything I can do to make it better or ?? [link] [comments] |
