Help identifying. Picked up five shrimp today at my LPS. They were sold to me as “rainbow shrimp” the first one shown is carrying eggs and you can’t really see the black ones real well. Any help is appreciated

RCS & Snowball Compatibility

Posted: 16 Feb 2020 02:30 AM PST

Went to my LFS yesterday for some RO water and saw they had some Snowball shrimp in stock, I liked the look of them and did a quick bit of googling in the shop and saw they are both neocaridina, I assume this means they will interbreed.

Sounded good in theory and my mind went to red cherry snowball shrimp, but I assume this won't be the case and will just result in them breeding back to wild colours. Can anyone confirm this would be the case.

Was given this. Is it ok to feed shrimp with it? Or should I stuck to spinach?
