I feel like maybe I’m posting too much but I’m also having too much fun... I grow a pesticide-free veggie garden so I made kale, chard, and beet “algae” wafers. Seem to be a hit, although they didn’t like the beet on its own

Found my crystal red shrimp outside of my aquarium

Posted: 19 Feb 2020 01:06 AM PST

I've got an aquarium with 5 CRS and roughly 10+ RCS, as well as 2 pygmy corydoras and 4 cardinal tetras. My crystals have gotten big since I got them, and since then I've seen them less. I always thought they must be hiding, but aside from a few, not hiding, there are no traces of them anywhere.

Today I went to check on them and I find a crystal red shrimp outside my aquarium. I thought he was dead, but when I touched him with my aquarium tweezers he moved, so I put him back and he survived :)

However, that raises a question, has this been the fate of the other CRS I haven't been seeing recently? I looked around the aquarium but I found no traces of them, however perhaps because they blend well with the surroundings. I'm hoping they are just hiding, this is really bumming me out.

Cherry shrimp dragging eggs. I think she was saddled yesterday so is this just a thing that happens? Didn't see this happen with my other berried shrimp.
