Looking to upgrade the light on my Fluval Spec. Ideas? Posted: 23 Feb 2020 05:25 PM PST I've had a Fluval Spec V running for over 6 months. I've had pretty decent luck with adding in different filter media and overall I have been happy with it, but the light is meh. I don't need anything amazing, I'm just looking at more of a medium light situation for overall plant health. Does anyone have experience upgrading this light? I would be happy to DIY some minor adjustments or add in some light strips if it's feasible. I'd also be willing to drop the money on a nicer light if anyone can recommend one that fits the tank. (First post here. Hello everyone! I've been working with small tanks for a few years now although I haven't considered them "nano" until recently when I got more involved with aquascaping and planted tanks. I'll post a picture of the tank later - after I scrape the algae off the glass and make it pretty) I might cross post this to other subreddits but I figured you all might be the most knowledgeable about bright lights in tiny spaces.
