- When two fishy become one fishy
- What are they doing? They've been sitting beside each other for over an hour.
- JB's mid-spit face look like he saw Sadako
- Sorry for the blurry photo, but is my fish fat or carrying eggs? If she's just fat, what can I do about it?
- Conflicted
- Any idea what this growth is? Found him at my local pet store looking very active along with other tank mates. Growth has not increased. Caretaker wasn’t sure what it is but has medicated him to try and reduce growth. Is it curable? Is it a tumor? Need to know before bringing him home.
- Heeelp!! My guy is swimming crooked. Is this the infamous sim bladder problem that we all hear so much about? (More info in the comments)

Posted: 19 Feb 2020 09:55 PM PST I have this fancy goldfish and he kind of means a lot to me because he is my grandmother's favorite and she favors him the most for some reason even though I have way more expensive goldfish in my tank. But anyway he has dropsy right now and I'm wondering if I should just let him stay for as long as he can or do surgery on him and try to pop his swim bladder with the risk of also turning him into sushi I don't know what tu du [link] [comments] | ||

Posted: 19 Feb 2020 07:30 AM PST Hi all! I have two larger fancy oranda goldfish and a plecostomus (not a dwarf) living together in a 40G tank with plants. They've lived together in harmony for about two years now and I haven't seen the pleco go for them ever and he keeps the tank clean (in addition to the plants minimizing my filter changes the water stays nice and clear and smells healthy). I have heard some mixed things about plecos stressing goldies out but my boys are kind of big (~4-6in) and stick together and the pleco (~6in) is skittish and leaves them alone. Are there hard and fast rules regarding them being tank mates? I'm going to upgrade to a larger tank as they get bigger as well. I've made it a point to wait until it gets late to watch the pleco while the goldies sleep and he doesn't seem to bug them because he has plenty of algae to eat in the tank. Edit: Thank you so much for the info guys! I think I'm going to rehome my pleco and try adding more plants to combat algae. [link] [comments] |
