My cray always gets skittish and hides when I get near my tank. Is there any way I could make him more comfortable with me?

Yondu the yabby. After he shed his skin the other day, one of his tank mates, a smaller female, chopped off both his arms. I have him in another tank atm, if I put him back in with her will she kill him?

I’m thinking of feeding my crayfish a certain species of fish that I will catch in the wild (perch) I live in Calgary. Would there be any harm in feeding my cray wild caught fish. They will be gutted and cleaned. Is there any risk? My cray is a cherax quadricarinatus.

We call them yabbies here in Australia, which I think is so much cuter. (This is my first ever meme, and my first ever post on reddit)
