• Please somebody help. There is something seriously wrong w my axolotl that I have never come across or even noticed. He did NOT have this huge spot yesterday. Please help me I’ve never been more desperate in my life. I’m beside myself panicked.

Few Questions about my Axolotl Posted: 27 Feb 2020 09:51 PM PST Just got one today, and she was introduced into the tank. Im going to change the water every other day for a few weeks at a quarter of the 35 gallon tank every time its changed. Good? Bad? Tank is rigged with a hanging filter with a sponge beneath to let the water trickle in gently and has an abundance of plant life. I have 50 white cloud minnows in the tank with it but they are leaving her alone. I also have about 15 ghost shrimp in there aswell. Will those be adequate for a food source for my axolotl? Or should I invest in to some earth worms? I haven't seen her go after the feeders yet, but my hope is when she gets hungry she'll start searching. The fish and shrimp were introduced a few days ago. Is it a good idea to freeze some water bottles and change them out in the tank to keep it cool? Tank currently sits at 18° sharp but I'm worried it may get warmer. Been at 18 for 3 days though.
