Not long before this it looked like they were making out... Who wants to tell them they can't make babies together?

Idea feasable or dangerous?

Posted: 15 Feb 2020 12:05 AM PST

I wanted to set a 100 liter tub out on my patio with a HOB filter and internal pump filter (with a water proof cord). The patio is covered but it still gets wet.

Idea is to then plug it in to the outside power socket and put some pond plants in it and move a lot of my snails that are infesting my inside tanks into it.

Is this good idea or dangerous?

Snails With Issues

Posted: 14 Feb 2020 09:25 PM PST

I recently got 2 common nerite snails, and both have horrible shell issues. I'm pretty new to keeping them, and i'm wondering if anyone has tips on how to help them/know if they'll survive.

Roommate treated for ick with snails in tank

Posted: 14 Feb 2020 06:44 AM PST

Okay so I share a 40 gallon tank with my roommate. Most of the fish in the tank are his and all of the 3 snails are mine. Yes they are mystery snails.

This morning when I woke up I noticed that one of the fish was covered in Ick and another was with ick. We both freaked out because we hadn't noticed any of the sign until now and some of the other fish are already getting the little white spots. Since my roommate happened to have just enough Tetra Ick Guard Tablets to treat the 40 gallons.

We both had to leave for school and it wasn't until I got to class that remembered that snails are sensitive to a lot of ick treatments. So I started franticly googling and I found that Tetra "strongly advises removing all invertebrates from the tank before treatment". I'm actually sick to my stomach thinking about my snails. Neither of us will be able to get home until later today to remove them. Is it to late for them? Or would they be able to last until I can get home around 4pm?
