My Poor Mystery Snail’s Escape

Last night our security cameras on our pregnant sheep went out so I was having to get up and go check them myself. At my 3 AM check I was going to turn my tank light on just to see what was going on and I heard a weird squish noise and I freaked out. I turned the light on and saw that it was my poor snail Turbo. His shell didn't crack or anything because I didn't put my full weight on him, but I feel so awful. He has never gotten out of his tank much less out of the tank and down my nearly 4 foot tall dresser. Who knows how long he was out of the water. Today he is a bit slow, but still moving around and eating. Is there anything I can give him to make him feel better? I just feel so awful.

I've had 2 snails for about a week now, one is super active doing great. But the second one hasnt moved in a few days and the shell is going darker? Is the second one dead?

I recently added a huge blue mystery snail to my 36 gal planted tank. He is beautiful and fun to watch, and my friend breeds the healthiest snails so I expect to keep him a long time. My mystery snails in my 5 and 10 gallon have only ever focused on algae and missed food, but this guy is like a lawn mower on my vallisneria. There are plants he's eaten down to the root. I've tried adding algae wafers, but his appetite is insatiable. Any suggestions?
