Been floating for almost 3 days...sometimes like this and sometimes closed up tight. No sign of eating in a while. Thoughts? I’m new to mystery snails

I need advice about a snail "licking" another snail's shell to the point of damaging it.

We have 7 mystery snails and I really love them. We initially got some to clean our snapping turtle's tank, but he ate that group. We bought more and have them in a separate tank with fish. But we recently found a surviving snail in the turtle's tank. It looks like his "door" was ripped off, but he is still alive. So we put him with the other snails in the fish tank. We have noticed that he gets on the back of the larger snail's shells and clings on and licks to the point of creating grooves in their shells. We are worried he is seriously damaging them. Does anyone know what we can do about this and why he is doing this?
