A interested fresh water hobby is looking for advice on how to start coral

Posted: 19 Jan 2020 08:03 PM PST

I've had fresh water for over a year now I love it so much. Recently I went to a reef only store in my area and I caught the bug I'd love to start getting into it. For me there is so many places to find information it is overwhelming. My local water is 8.2 I've heard that is very good for coral I want to do a fluval 5 gallon only because I don't want fish in the tank. More of like a single coral to learn how to take care of one befor I start to scale up more or less to learn the basics and not have such a large chance to kill a lot of coral befor I lean everything needed. Any advice or trusted articles would be of great help I'm very excited to join the salt water world

My tank currently. Need help with coral placement. Far right I have a new orange digi and a new green toadstool. I’m not sure where a good spot would be for the toadstool. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
