My smallest jar yet! Made with soil, some moss, and a small garnet

I have already planted some moss months ago on my log in my riparium and nothing died. (Fish, shrimps etc.) Now I want to add a few new pieces but do you guys have any advice to do it more safely?

A custmer returned a LifeJar because two snails died. This is a "check up"

A couple water changes and the Nitrates were no longer an issue. Bad batch of soil. I also added duckweed for direct O2 into the airspace.

My 2g upgraded from a vase. Originally collected pond substrate with associated pond snails, copepods, fairy shrimp and daphnia. Upgraded plants and water volume.

Are these ‘clear mirror’ shards(?) / gravel(?) sufficient. Sorry for bad quality picture, it’s dark, I had to use flash.

Would this be a good place for a jarrarium?
