Shopping list for a new betta Posted: 01 Jan 2020 10:29 AM PST My partner and I were gifted a betta as part of a white elephant exchange. (Don't get me started on "don't gift pets"...) While we weren't ready to take on a betta, I'm so excited to have him! As far as setup so far, we have a friend who had a 5 gallon tank she wasn't using with a filter and an add on heater. We also have a plastic plant that I know I need to replace. I've been reading through all sorts of posts and websites, but I'm getting a little overwhelmed. What should be on my shopping list to start with so that my tiny dude is happy and healthy. Bonus point for inexpensive products and store recommendations. Edit: My tank is the Aqueon 5 Gallon MiniBow LED Desktop Fish Aquarium Kit. My heater is the Aqueon Submersible Aquarium Heater, 10W.
