My dad's tank is full of surprises. Today I spotted an almost black shrimp. It is a descendant from a bunch of cherries and wild neos. We called it Batman :)

What are these things in my tank? They're really small and seem to be latched onto every hard surface.

Worth going in? I can get this “starter” 3.5 gallon kit for freshwater shrimp for 90$, I love watching the photos and videos you all post, and wanted to see if you guys think this is worth it to purchase, and what else I would need to buy to ensure my shrimpies are safe and happy!

How do these parameters look for neocaridina shrimp? I’m looking into adding some to my tank and want to know what I should improve on. I currently have some ghost shrimp and they seem to be doing good. Temperature is hanging out around 74 F.

Has anyone had experience keeping shrimp with these fish? In these numbers?

Rummynose tetra (15ish) Harlequin rasbora (8ish) Neon tetra (30ish) Guppy (5) Glass catfish (4) Dwarf gourami (1) Flying fox sucker fish (4)

Or would they get eaten?

Thank you

Hello! I have a 5.5gal that I'm setting up right now (the tank is cycling) and I was wondering if I could add any fish that would be fine with them. Could I add a guppy or would that be too much with some Cherry shrimps?

Shrimp disappearing?

Posted: 29 Nov 2019 06:15 PM PST

I've had my 3.5 gal for a while but it seems all of a sudden all my shrimp have disappeared?? I see exoskeletons and the occasional shrimp but never see my little buddies, and they never breed anymore. My water should be okay, and I clean my sponge filter to keep everything all good.
