Hello! Need some help

Posted: 25 Nov 2019 11:25 PM PST

Hello there! I have been looking around for some help with my black moor goldfish. He has a weird stick like thing that is sticking out of the back of his tails. It's just been concerning and I have been thinking that it may be something like anchor worms. If anyone has any info itd be wonderful to hear!

White spot treatment.

Posted: 25 Nov 2019 01:01 PM PST

This may sound silly but I have just treated my tank for white spot for the first time.

I have removed the filter media and poured it into the filter flow however my fish started to eatthe treatment as I was pouring it in.

Will it harm them if they ate this?

Anyone know how I might go about getting my fish or their water tested for toxicology?

Posted: 25 Nov 2019 07:49 AM PST

I don't really want to go in to why but I have a strong suspicion one of my tanks was poisoned with either alcohol or possibly prescription drugs by a guest in my home. I'm not talking about the standard water tests but actual toxicology. I lost all the fish in one tank in a matter of hours the other day. Fish that were healthy and active and feeding hours before. My own water tests and a test I had my local pet shop do came back clear for ammonia and nitrate poisoning. I'm now looking to expand the test beyond the normal aquarium tests to propper toxicology before going to the police with a direct accusation.

Has anyone heard anything or ordered from the online dealer, “The I Fish Store”? They have a red and white butterfly telescope that I’m very interested in and it’s only 4.99? I’ve never heard of them are they reputable?

Goldfish is less active than normal?

Posted: 25 Nov 2019 01:45 AM PST

I have 4 fantail goldfish in a 60 gallon aquarium and they all have been doing really well! Typically very active and love to swim around, play in the bubbler, forage in the pebbles, follow me around the room, etc. They all generally get along, but I do see them occasionally chase each other, but this is nothing new and they seemed to always be active and fine despite these behaviors.

However, recently I have noticed that one of my fish has been more skittish and tends to hang in the back of the tank and not be as active. He will still come to the front of the tank for food and occasionally acts normal, but his behavior has been overall odd lately. For example, whenever I pass the tank or enter the room the fish normally all swim really fast towards the front of the tank where I am and follow me around, but recently its only the other 3 fish who do this and not him. He wasn't like this before and I don't think he is getting bullied so I'm worried it may be a bigger health concern? All three of the other fish seem 100% normal and happy though so I'm not sure what it could be.

Any ideas?
