Mystery snail fell out of tank, tip of shell broke off. His flesh is exposed and it almost seems like he’s less connected to the shell and is having a very hard time. Please tell me what I should do.

I'm getting ready to treat the begging of a hydra outbreak in a planted thank full of shrimp a Betta and a mystery snail I know the Betta and shrimp will be fine I'm just worried about the snail. If I take him out will water changes before moving him back suffice or will I need to run charcoal

What are your favorite snails and why

I'm looking for snails for a 55 community and a 29 shrimp tank. I want something Interesting I currently have ramshorns breeding in a 5g and will distribute them to my other tanks. I just want to hear your favorite types of snails.
