Posted: 21 Oct 2019 05:51 AM PDT This is more of a question about the sub than axolotls specificity I know, however it's extremely distressing to me when somebody is new to axolotl care and there are people on this sub telling them they don't need to cycle their tank and that gravel is ok etc. I obviously don't think people should be blocked from here if they had gravel in their tank and didn't know, and agree to remove it when informed differently. That's just people learning and realising their mistakes. But these people who argue "oh, well MY axolotl has never eaten gravel" "MY axolotl is fine in an uncycled tank" I'm new to axolotl care too and I was bought mine as an impulsive gift so had to learn extremely quickly, and I was able to learn all this basic info within a few weeks! I can't believe there are people on here allowed to encourage such dangerous care - things that can possibly kill an axolotl - and not have any consequences. Are they allowed to be reported to mods or? Thanks for the help! [link] [comments]
(Australia) Where can I rehome/sell my axie? Posted: 20 Oct 2019 04:11 PM PDT I am no longer able to take care of my lovely axie after becoming very ill :( I've been trying but I just think it's unfair to him. I don't really want to sell him for money but I do need to find somewhere for him to go to get the care he deserves. I live in Sydney, any ideas? Please help! [link] [comments]
