I have a few different neo colonies and I put all the culls in one tank to just let them do their thing. If I don’t purposely select most go to some type of wild variant but I have a couple females that are maturing to look like this....

Horseworm in ghost shrimp

Posted: 17 Sep 2019 05:23 PM PDT

I know ghost shrimp are meant to be feeders but I couldn't resist setting up a 10 gal with 7 of them. I got them today and quickly noticed 3 were berried and 1 has a horseworm. I have read many blogs, articles etc. that say it will eventually kill the host shrimp wich I'll have to accept. However nothing online has told me wether or not it will or could even spread. Anyone know if it will spread to the rest of my shrimp?

How do you acclimate shrimp who have been shipped to you? Do you also drip acclimate for shipped fish or plop and drop?

Posted: 17 Sep 2019 05:02 PM PDT

I was watching videos about why you shouldn't drip acclimate fish when they have been shipped to you. But I'm having trouble finding videos about acclimating shrimp who have been shipped. Also, what on earth are breather bags?

What ki d of shrimp for this 2 gallon?

Posted: 17 Sep 2019 08:53 PM PDT

I will initially set this up as a holding tank for different plants until I decided what to do with them, but ow I'm thinking of letting it grow and adding a snail and few shrimp. It will probably stay unheated but the water stays about 65 - 70 degrees all year. I've been keeping red cherry shrimp successfully in my main tank but I want to try something new. Any ideas? I was thinking of crystal reds.
